TOWN OF HARBOUR GRACE – EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The Town of Harbour Grace has been approved for Job Creation Partnership funding under the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour (AESL).
The Town is currently seeking one foreperson and four labourers for a twelve-week employment opportunity. This project consists of revitalizing Moriarty Park with the additions of a walking track, dog park, and garden landscaping.
All JCP participants must be E.I. eligible. Eligibility will be determined by AESL.
Definition of E.I. Eligibility
An unemployed person
- for whom an El benefit period is established (e.g., are on an active E.I. claim); or
- whose E.I. benefit period has ended within the previous 60 months (5 years); or
- who paid El premiums in at least 5 of the last 10 calendar years (conditions may apply).

We are looking for four motivated, enthusiastic summer employees to do research on predetermined topics, under the direction of the Harbour Grace Tourism Department.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience with research (high school or post-secondary);
- Strong computer skills;
- Strong creative and organizational skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Able to work independently and/or as part of a team;
- Knowledge of our local history is considered an asset;
- Able to work from home using personal computer, internet, office supplies, etc.
